We conduct requirements' engineering and support iterative, user-oriented design through early prototyping and frequent tests. Typical services include  :

Research Associate

Co-ordinated and managed ties with MAGICA project partners :

  • Analyzed user requirements, and context of use. 
  • Defined usability criteria and selected a specific methodology to evaluate the usability of the system. 
  • Co-ordinated the test of 100 users at 7 different sites, and analyzed the results.
  • Researched on new media, resource optimization, and changing users’ behavior through in depth-interview of lead users. 
  • Wrote  the 'New Business Model' deliverable along with prof. Claudio Ciborra and Kaveh Rahnema, and presented learnings to European Commission reviewers.
The methodology devised for the sake of MAGICA usability evaluation was outlined by Dr. Jurek Kirakowski (downloadable .rtf file) , head of the HFRG in Cork, University College, Ireland at the 42nd annual meeting of the ‘Human Factors and Ergonomics Society’ (HFES), October 1998 in Chicago.

Developed the ABM management accounting method in France. Activity-Based Management is the sum of financial and non-financial measurements, aimed at defining and analyzing the behaviour of complex cost objects such as products, customers, distribution channels, etc.

  • Organised and marketed the ‘ABM International Meeting', bringing together lead users, e.g. Alcatel Telspace, Arianespace, Eurest, Eurocopter, Goodyear, James River, Levi Strauss, Pechiney, Philips, Pininfarina, Sara Lee, SCA Mölnlycke, Smithkline Beecham, Rockwell, etc., academia and software vendors.
  • Facilitated process re-engineering and strategic analysis, parallel to the obtainment of ISO 9001 certificates.
  • Established a partnership with the CERAM business management school in Sophia Antipolis.

Plastocoat, Turin, Italy (actually Permatex Italia, a subsidiary of Du Pont Performance Coatings) - Producer and Supplier of Special Coatings for Food and Pharma industries

Member of the board of directors. Developed the business in France and abroad. Plastocoat is the world leader in the specialty niche of coatings for wine tanks. Business volume was of about 6M$,  with operations in more than 10 countries.

Co-chair of the 1st International 'Human Factors and the Web' conference on 'Methods for user's behaviour monitoring', March 16, 2002 at Nice Sophia-Antipolis University, France.

The purpose of these conferences is to provide a forum for sharing information among a community of human factors engineers, designers, and developers who are interested in producing web sites that are more useful and usable. This annual, unique event comes on the straight of the previous HFWeb conferences held in 1996 at Sandia National Labs and Microsoft, 1997 US West Comm, 1998 AT&T Labs, 1999 the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST), 2000 at University of Texas Thompson Conference Center in Austin, and hosted by SBC Technology Resources and IBM, and 2001 at University of Winsconsin, hosted by Optavia. The proceedings of the past conferences are freely available through the Internet Technical Group (ITG) website.

Affiliated since 1998 to the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES), and european coordinator of the Internet Technical Group (ITG).

Member of the Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction , Association for Computing Machinery (ACM SIGCHI).
