August 2001 - Part 3
MCC Founders Night

The MCC is 100 years old this year. The club is a little different to your average
local Motor Club as it does not hold regular social events. How then to celebrate it's
centenary, after all it won't happen for another 100 years!
The committee are promoting that members organise regional meetings, during the
evening of Saturday 10th November for drinks and/or a meal. At 9pm the members will rise
and drink a toast to the club.
Members have started to organise evening entertainment in their area and the MCC
President would like to hear from others to take the idea further down the organisational
road, e-mail John Aley.

Derek Reynolds etc are thinking of hosting a founders evening for the stalwart
northerners. A possible venue could be the Robin Hood Inn at East Wallhouses on the
military road, reasonably easy for Carlisle. Please let me or Derek know if there is any
interest. tony.branson@cwcom.net

I am thinking of organising a Founders Evening dinner in the Redbourne area of
Hertfordshire. Before I go ahead and make arrangements I need to know if anyone is
interested in this idea. Please reply below or E-mail to, mike_hayward34@hotmail.com
If I get a good response I will go ahead and arrange something - Mike Hayward.
