Sure, cars give us freedom, but as my favorite
philosopher, Benjamin Franklin, always said, "There is no
such thing as freedom without responsibility." A good start
would be to limit the number of cars on the road. I ride my

I love cycling. Road cycling. For now, here are a few of
my favorite internet cycling resources. When time permits
I'll add more links, cycling-inspired
poetry, and a picture or two.
- You must visit Don True's
TRUE Storys
Cycling Humor website. Don True's hilarious stories
are simply too good to pass up!
- Crank
Mail is a publication by Clockwork Press devoted to
cycling in Northeast Ohio. The page includes links to
Cleveland area bicycle clubs and club ride calendars.
- Cycling.org is
the internet source for cycling information.
- League of
American Bicyclists is probably the best cycling
advocacy group in the United States.
- Subscribe to the
LABannounce
mailing list by the League of American Bicyclists for
League notices on advocacy, education, and recreation.
- The League also has a
LABmembers
mailing list devoted to member discussions.

October Warm
by Michael Blotzer

down the road
to the house
where dinner waits
The morning's frost
into October warm evaporated
and the road stretches through red and gold
to a sky as blue as the black of space
The rthym of heart and lungs
of legs and cranks
the whisper of chain and gears
of tires on pavement
form a mantra that chants
There is no past
no future
there only
is
