As was for a period I was POSK's Arts Co-ordinator I include this page to briefly describe POSK's facilities and provides contact numbers for more information. POSK will gladly put you on their mailing list for the 'monthly events diary' which can be ordered by sending a cheque for £3.00 for an annual subscription with details of your address to POSK.

POSK's Events Diary
POSK was founded by the Polish community, it involves and is run by people of all ages and backgrounds to provide a strong Polish focus in London, and to draw on what is happening in the cultural life of Poland.It offers a chance to meet and make friends, to relax in a Polish atmosphere, to buy and borrow books and magazines, to see the latest Polish films, Polish plays or cabaret - often by invitation from Poland. Most of the leading lights of the Polish stage have performed at POSK at one time or another..But most of all, even if you do not speak Polish, we want you to see POSK as 'your home away from home' whenever you feel a yearning for things Polish.
Facilities include:
- THEATRE which mounts some in-house productions, as well as small to medium scale productions directly from Poland, some with English translations via headphones, and an annual production of a Polish play in English. There are evening and afternoon concerts by professionals and performance opportunities for young musicians
- CINEMA with fully professional large screen projection and quality sound system. We show a wide range of Polish films with subtitles, or films by Polish directors working abroad in their original language with subtitles.large screen video showing videos from Poland or about Poland, past and present, mainly in Polish.
- RESTAURANT on first floor providing a wide range of reasonably priced Polish and European dishes. Regular 'theme' nights and dances.discotheque on Friday and Saturday nights, also available for private parties.
- PARTIES AND DANCES - these are a regular feature at the appropriate time of year
- COFFEE BAR on the ground floor with coffee, cakes and light meals, satellite TV with Polish channels and jazz nights.Bookshop offering a full range of Polish books: fiction, biography, reference, dictionaries, magazines, newspapers, maps
- POLISH LIBRARY - a real resource for research into various aspects of Polish affairs and cultural life: biographical and bibliographical data, a huge stock of magazines and newspapers. The library serves universities, institutions, government establishments, publishers, media, private individuals, students, scholars and researchers, regardless of nationality
- ART GALLERY with fortnightly changes of exhibitions of painting, sculpture and photography with a particular interest in attracting student artists
- TRADITIONAL POLISH DANCING - TATRY folk dance group meets on Fridays Polish language lessons - beginners to 'A' level Piano lessons - available at various grades
- TALKS ON BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN POLAND- arranged from time to time British-Polish Chamber of Commerce - an easily accessible resource when setting up or researching business prospects in Poland
- POLISH TOURISM CENTRE - a travel agent on your doorstep
