ARIZONA ACTIVITIES

1ST ANNUAL ARIZONA WFP GOLF TOURNAMENT

The First Annual Arizona Water For People Golf Tournament, held on
June 6, 1997 at the Sheraton San Marcos Country Club was a rousing
 success!

Over 130 golfers participated in this event, generously buying mulligans,
string for putts, and raffle tickets. Over $12,000 was collected, which
after expenses and prizes yielded over $6500.

The event was very upbeat and got off to a busy start during
registration. A delicious box lunch of croissant sandwich, chips, fruit
washed down with beer or soda pop put everyone in a cheerful mood.

A short windstorm followed by a brief rainstorm failed to dampen the
 festive mood.

As the players completed their rounds, scores were tabulated and
handicapped. When the last players checked in, the raffle began in
earnest. Afterwards, cash prizes were handed out to each player of the
foursomes for first, second. and third places.

We thank all participants and sponsors for their generosity, and the
Sheraton San Marcos management for helping make this such a
 success.
