- Association of Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC). Peter Schambarger, Executive Director, P. O. Box 543, Annapolis, MD 21404-0543. ARSC publishes a journal for the purpose of disseminating materials of interest to private collectors, institutional sound archivists, sound technicians, and others interested in historical sound recordings. This organization sponsors an annual conference and issues a newsletter.
- International Association of Jazz Record Collectors (IAJRC). IAJRC Attn: Murray Slochover, P. O. Box 855, Tenafly, NJ 07670. In Europe, write: Mrs. Barbara A. Sparling, 51 Ashtree Road, Bitterne Park, Southampton SO2 4LY, England. IAJRC is interested in advancing the cause of jazz music, its increased public acceptance, improved communications among collectors, dealers, musicians, and the public as well as increasing knowledge, and understanding of the essence and development of jazz through imaginative programs and projects. The IAJRC publishes a journal and also makes available recordings and catalogs.
