Pauline Berry and Pearl Saunders have audited a number of General Practices using the Blackpool Asthma Plan and will extend the audit to many more . We are liasing with the Health Authority to fund a data manager for this large project.

Formal development of an improved COPD service by facilitating BTS guidelines with full respiratory team support.
Audit secondment to develop a District -wide COPD database, to
study compliance with BTS COPD guidelines in promary and
secondary care, and toassess suitability for home - management
of acute exacerbations of COPD.
