Microsoft Word and Excel Files of Collectibles

- The databases that I have developed from all available information about
National Geographic Publications and Materials are available. These are lists of
collectibles by catagory (similar to the Map Inventory on this Home Page). This
information is mostly on Excel - some in Word, and allows a collector to know what has
been produced by N.G. since 1888 (what's collectable) and is a convienient way for a
collector to maintain an inventory of the Family Collection. Even a set of issues back to
1920 when referenced in N.G.'s 100 yr. index is an education of the places and
developments of mankind during recorded history.
- ORDERING INFORMATION: ALL OF THESE FILES ARE FREE IF YOU REGISTER YOUR WANTS AS
A COLLECTOR, INCLUDING NAME, ADDRESS, PH. # (optional), AND E-Mail address. They are for
PC on 3.5" floppy. (see also: "Registration as a Collector" page)
The catagories (1 or more files each) are as follows:
- MAGAZINES - spreadsheet of all issues from 1888 to 1998 showing volume and # as
well as if a map or pictoral was included.
- EPHEMERA - This is a list (nowhere complete) of the multitude of misc. paper
printed by N.G. such as catalogs and advertisments from 1913.
- MAPS and PICTORIALS - both a .doc file and spreadsheets to determine which
issues had supplements and on what subjects
- BOOKS - all hardbound publications on seperate subjects (most expand on topics
in issues) which were published since 1896. This spreadsheet contains many fields such as
date, size, and title that sorts by title or date. This list would allow a collector to
determine the most collectible books if only the most valuable items are desired.
- VIDEOS: Home VHS movies produced and sold thru N.G.'s catalog.
