General Disclaimer
Notice about all four lists: These lists are administered by Jay
Dooling. He is one of the co-hosts of the Irish Aires Radio show. These
lists are free! There is no advertising on these lists and we have NEVER
and will NEVER sell or give these lists to anyone for any purpose. They
live ONLY on the computer of Jay Dooling (rdooling@swbell.net).
We do post information about places that do sell Irish/Celtic things,
but we are not making any recommendations and we are NOT
benefiting anyway from these postings (I can't even get a free beer at
a local pub! I admit I sometimes get a free admisson to local events,
but that's about it! {grin})
Any expression of opinion here is strictly that of the administer. They
do not reflect the opinion of the station, its management, my co-host
(Pete Little), most certainly not my wife's, or even my dogs. In fact, they
usually are 180 degrees from the opinion of anyone else. (grin)
The only request you will ever get from this list will be a periodic request
(3 times a year) for contributions to KPFT. KPFT is a community
supported radio station. You, of course, are not under any obligations to
contribute to get this list.
The Houston List (list address: iahou@swbell.net)
1) The Irish Aires Houston List sends information about current
Irish/Celtic Events in the Houston/Texas area. We send out a single
weekly list of current events. Also, we send out a separate weekly
Scottish Dance newsletter that covers that topic in greater details. We
also send out individual announcements about these events and, rarely
we send out none Irish/Celtic announcements.
For those people who travel the Texas area, we also send out a weekly
news letter that covers the Irish/Celtic events in the whole state.
Occassionally, we send out emails about events in Louisana.
The volume on this list varies, depending on what is going on in the local
area. It might run from 3 or 4 emails per week in the summer to 10 to 12
emails per week around St. Patrick's Day. If the volume of individual
emails gets too high, you can choose to get a DIGEST version. That is,
various emails combined into ONE email. That email will be sent to you
every other day or as infrequently as once a week.
If you want to get this information plus other Irish cultural infomation,
subscribe to the ALL list below. If you subscribe to this list and the ALL
list, you will get duplicate information.
Of course, this is an Irish Aires list and therefore, we will send out info
about the Irish Aires show. Soon KPFT will be on the internet and you
will be able to hear us from anywhere in the world!
If you only want to get information about Houston and Texas current
events, click below. Send the email to the list with only the word
"SUBSCRIBE" in the subject line. (Don't include the quotes and put
nothing in the body of the message.) You will get a welcome message
with more information.

The Other List (iaother@swbell.net)
2) The Irish Aires Other List includes Irish book reviews, Irish movie
reviews, and Irish theatre reviews. Weekly we send a summary of the
"human interest" news about the Irish and Irish Americans. We include
some email news letters from Ireland about what is going on there. (It is
nice to dream!)
This is NOT information exclusively about Houston or Texas. We don't
write much original material here. But this is a good list to join if you want
to get various sources about Irish cultural events and happenings.
This is not a news or political list. However, when the news is compelling
(in our opinion), we will occassionally pass on some poltical news.
The volume on this list varies, depending on what is going on around the
world. It might run from 2 or 3 emails per week in the summer to 8 to 10
emails per week around St. Patrick's Day. If the volume of individual
emails gets too high, you can choose to get a DIGEST version. That is,
various emails combined into ONE email. That email will be sent to you
every other day or as infrequently as once a week.
If you want to get this information plus Houston and Texas events info,
subscribe to the ALL list below. If you subscribe to this list and the ALL
list, you will get duplicate information.

The ALL List (iaall@swbell.net)
3) The Irish Aires ALL list include everything in the Houston and the
Other list.
This is not a news or political list. However, when the news is compelling
(in our opinion), we will occassionally pass on some poltical news.
The volume on this list varies, depending on what is going on in Houston
and around the world. It might run from 5 or 7 emails per week in the
summer to 18 to 22 emails per week around St. Patrick's Day. If the
volume of individual emails gets too high, you can choose to get a
DIGEST version. That is, various emails combined into ONE email. That
email will be sent to you from every other day or as infrequently as once a
week.
If you want to get it all, subscribe to this list. If you subscribe to the ALL
list and one of the above lists, you will get duplicate information.
If you only want to get information about ALL the Irish stuff we know
about click below. Send the email to the list with only the word
"SUBSCRIBE" in the subject line. (Don't include the quotes and put

The Irish Aires News List (ianews@swbell.net)
4) The Irish Aires news list is strictly devoted to postings about
news of Ireland, the Irish and Irish Americans.
While we have our own political views, we try to include a news
from various sources (both republican & unionist).
The volume of this list is pretty heavy. There are between 2 & 4
postings per day on this list. Each posting will contain 8-12
individual news stories.
To subscribe send an email via the link below. Put only
SUBSCRIBE in the subject line and nothing in the body of
the email.
