Why do I need a web site? My advertisements are in the local or national newspaper, I have lots of brochures distributed and when I am rich enough I can advertise on the radio or TV.

Sure, so why do we like using our cars rather than use the public transport? Well it gets us to our destination faster, we are not limited to where we want to travel and we can go any time we want without limitations.

The fact is, with a web site we are no longer limited to a small geographical area because it is seen globally. Anyone in the world can have access to your information/services 24 hours a day 365 days a year!!!!! They can even email and place orders with their requests or ask for more information. Finally, let's not forget, your costs for advertising using the conventional method can be reduced dramatically!!!!!!!!

More and more people are using the internet today rather than i.e. yellow pages to source for information and services. They prefer this because it is quick, easy and resourceful to obtain what they are seeking.

Here is where I would require your input to help me provide a professional and creative product which is to your satisfaction:

• Written web page content ideally should be provided by you in electronic form i.e. Microsoft word, email or notepad.
• If possible any images, photographs, logos maps etc that you may have which can be used to give the web site a more visual presence to your audience.
• Identification of key products/services or areas you would like to project to the public. This will allow me to create individual sections of the website to reflect in detail the product or service you have on offer.
• Any keywords you can provide which best describe your business. This can be used to enable the search engines to identify and position your web site with a higher rating.
• Any other information you can provide.

So how much is it going to cost me? I bet that is the first question on your mind.

Well please rest assured, for I hope that I can put your mind at ease.

If you had a look at other web designers' sites you will see a combination of different price structures. A few will charge you by the hour or by the page. Some ask you to quote them a figure and some prices will have web space and domain name included etc. Well are you confused? I am.

To enable the public to view your site you will have to locate it somewhere. Here I can help to recommend a few competitive companies that can host your site at a cost that can meet your budget. Otherwise, if you have an existing hosting account it can be located there.

Domain Name

A domain name is basically an address that you use to discover a web site. Therefore you would need one so that your audience can view yours. It would be better for you to register one yourself, this is because you will have ownership and control of it.
Here again I can assist you in going about registering for a domain name or use an existing name if you have one.

Web Site Maintenance

As your business (i.e. products/services) or personal information evolves from time to time you would need to reflect the updates and changes on your web site.

Therefore I can update your website as and when you require. Thus the first update on your web site will be done free of charge. Subsequently a small charge will be levied should more updates be requested afterwards.
