Duties of Officers

PRESIDENT
The Office of President is the most important office in a Toastmasters club.  The President provides the leadership and guidance the Club needs to be successful.  The President has overall responsibility for seeing that the Club provides the positive, supportive environment its members need to fulfill their self-development goals.  The President sees that members participate in and benefit from the Toastmasters educational program.  The President actively recruits new members and retains current ones.

As the Club's leader, one of the President's responsibilities is to analyze and evaluate your Club's strong and weak areas and help the Club become the best it can be.  As the President does this he/she has the opportunity to develop and practice leadership skills that can be used in all areas of his/her life.  The President will learn to set goals, plan, develop strategies, delegate, coach and recognize people for their efforts.

The President, leads the Executive Committee, which consists of the Vice President Education, Vice President Membership, Vice President Public Relations, Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant at Arms and Immediate Past President.  The Executive Committee is responsible for making the Club dynamic and enjoyable for all members.  This can be accomplish through regular, production committee meetings and through careful goal-setting, planning and monitoring of progress.
