Who are Hemel Hempstead Lions?

We are part of Lions Clubs International, community service clubs, dedicated to the idea that the men and women who live in a community are in the best position to know who needs help and why. More than 44,000 strong, these local clubs are part of the world's largest such organisation, with 1.4 million members serving in more than 180 countries and areas. The association is both non-political and non-sectarian.

We raise money for our service activities:

Service Activities:

Provide entertainment, outings and holidays for local needy, elderly and handicapped people
Donate equipment to schools, hospitals, youth organisations and hospices
Finance Eye Camps in the Third World where sight is restored
Distribute food parcels to the elderly and needy people at Christmas

How much will it cost you?

All income from our fundraising activities is donated to worthy causes
Members pay the cost of administration of the Club and Lions Clubs International
We currently have an annual subscription to cover these costs of less than a pound a week.
Any other costs are entirely voluntary, e.g., attending the annual Charter Dinner or buying raffle tickets etc.

We meet at the Watermill Hotel, Bourne End, at 8pm on the 2^nd and 4^th Wednesdays of each month.
