Club History

DragonSlayers Inc. is a gaming club, first conceived and given life around 1979, by David Hudson and Ian Cornick, being named after the film Dragonslayer. However, it only really became a fully-fledged club some 4 years later, in November 1983, following a gathering of interested parties at the Pig & Whistle tavern in Leeds. From this gathering, the group grew rapidly to an unmanageable size.

From this collection of 15 or more players of varying quality, a number of players quickly formed close ties, splitting from the general gaggle of gamers, and becoming the real founding players. Since those early times, a number of members have come and gone, but the club goes on. The Rogues' Gallery details many of the club members who helped make DragonSlayers Inc. what it is today. Just what that is, I'm not really sure !!

The group occasionally organise extended, weekend sessions, in suitable surroundings. Past 'excursions' have seen the group venturing to a very atmospheric gatehouse near Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire, and to a cottage in a rural Derbyshire village. It is hoped that another such session will be organised in the not-too-distant future.
