Current Campaigns
At any one time, here at DragonSlayers Inc., there are a number of campaigns in progress, though most are on hold while the DM prepares the next adventure. As such, the current active campaign will be detailed first, with other on hold campaigns given below.
Geoff's Third Edition Campaign
Geoff Lambourne has just begun to DM a series of adventures using the 3rd Edition D&D rules. The details are rather lacking at the moment, but have so far seen the group travelling up river on a barge, and being ambushed by hobgoblins, whilst searching for a missing trade delegation.
The party comprises the following :-
- Eldon Greenbottle - A halfling barbarian, played by David Hudson.
- Foegel - Jay has control of this monk character.
- Lia - Vicki Hipkiss is playing this human cleric.
- Magnus - A shy, retiring gnome alchemist, played by Marty Jopson.
- Melody - Ann Smith is playing this good-looking bard.
- Mercury - This rogue is under the control of Ian Cornick.
Ann's Forgotten Realms Campaign
Ann's, first attempt to DM had the group investigating strange goings-on in a town, including mysterious disappearances from a local tea shop, and attacks/thefts which are believed to be linked to the cult of Bane.
The party is made up of the following members :-
- Billy James "B.J." Brown - This weedy half-elf thief, played by Geoff Lambourne, passes himself off as a musician.
- "Cougar" - This wandering priest of a pacifist god, played by Ian Cornick, is something of a martial arts expert.
- Darion Duffy - Jay has bravely chosen to play an elven fighter/mage who cannot understand common.
- Juliana "Jewels" Lightfoot - Vicki Hipkiss is playing a halfling thief.
- Liralyn - Played by David Hudson, this ex-soldier goes by the nickname "Dark Mauler", on account of his skin colour and his primary weapon, a large maul.
- Midnight - A mysterious, but beautiful, wizardess, played by Marty Jopson.
- Caradoc Blue-John - Juliet Jopson is playing a rather camp gnome.
Geoff's Treasure Hunt Campaign
Geoff Lambourne's campaign featured more than it's fair share of puzzles. When we last played, the group were looking for some magical orb, about the size of a pea - a feat described as worse than looking for a needle in mountain-sized haystack !
The group consists of the following individuals :-
- Damian - Vicki Hipkiss plays a male martial arts expert cleric.
- Ermental - Jay is playing a cleric whose track record on turning is a little suspect.
- Jasmine - Ann Smith plays this demon barber with underworld links.
- Rone Leah - A hunter/tracker who isn't afraid to use furnishings as weapons, is played by Ian Cornick.
- Zar-Haduum - David Hudson plays this elven mage, escorted at all times by his trusty guarddog, Preston.
Fizban's group Campaign
David Hudson DMs this campaign, which is one of the favourites with the group. Having been in play for a number of years, the characters have seen many adventures, several of which have been in the Realms of Terror - Ravenloft. During this time, a number of players have come and gone. It is possible that this group will be given another airing in the not-too-distant future.
The group, who have their own establishment, the DragonSlyers Inn in their home town of Sanctuary, consists of the following individuals, some of whom are no longer active adventurers :-
- Arthlon - Originally given life by Stuart Perkins, this halfling detective was later run by James Gardner. His adventuring career came to an abrupt end when he followed Mandos down a corridor which the latter assured him was safe, only to be hit by so many poisoned darts the group considered selling his body to a scrap metal merchant.
- Bartholemew "Bart" - This easy-going thief was played by Tony Biddlecombe. He has since retired to the "quiet life" in Sanctuary.
- Cliff - Jay controls this ranger, who has been known grumble a bit, occasionally hit something with an arrow, and attack the serving staff !
- Delyla - This gnome cleric/thief is played by Vicki Hipkiss.
- Fathomi - The original leader of the group was this trouble-seeking/attracting cleric of Paquia, played by Gary Perkins. He is now semi-retired, tending his flock in the town of Sanctuary, though he occasionally threatens to come along for one final adventure...
- Fizban Flamefinger - This aging, pyromaniac wizard, played by Ian Cornick, thinks that Fireball spells are the answer to almost every problem.
- Kaig - This awesome, twin-sword wielding fighter was originally played by Jim Lumsden, but was later taken over by Martin Clough. Kaig has now retired to build a castle in Sanctuary.
- Klonim - Geoff Lambourne plays this colourful character with a chequered past. He has recently returned from the dead, having been rescued from the clutches of Count Strahd von Zarovich, the vampire lord of Ravenloft.
- Lamrik Shorsca - This rather lame illusionist was played by Geoff Lambourne, but he has now retired.
- Mandos - This colourful bard/cleric was played by Andy Hipkiss. Thankfully, his rather short adventuring career has come to an end, and he has now retired.
- Red - This amazon, halberd-wielding warrior gets her name from the colour of her hair. She is played by Ann Smith.
- Zara - Played by Ann Smith, she found the adventuring life too stressful, and has returned to a quieter temple life.
David's Middle-East Campaign
David Hudson runs this campaign, consisting of the following group members:-
- Bungle - Jay plays this half-elf fighter/thief tailor.
- (Sir) Crogan De-Ville - Ian Cornick plays this muscular paladin, given honourary knight status.
- Drake Caleb - This weedy druid, played by Geoff Lambourne started the campaign in prison, and was sold into slavery. Forunately, the group stumped up the cash to buy him.
- Kyra Waynest - A headstrong mage from a wealthy background, played by Ann Smith. Known for her unusual equipment and clothing: whip, bar of soap, and green silk undies...
- Nick "Slim" Chance - Andy Hipkiss played this forger/thief, but he has now retired.
- Phillipa "Phil" Cameron-Smith - A drop-dead gorgeous bard, played by Vicki Hipkiss.
- Sarn Thurir - Played by Denny Cornell, retired from adventuring when the party ended up in her homelands. This female dwarven fighter/cleric possessed an impressive beard, and a healthy love of ale.
Andy's Thieves Campaign
Andy Hipkiss ran this campaign, which featured a large number of thieves - in the adventuring group - who had what can only be described as a relaxed attitude to property ownership :-
- Amber - Vicki Hipkiss played a babe in leather armour.
- Cliff - The original version of Cliff, the ranger, who later migrated to Fizban's group, was played by Jay.
- Derek - James Gardner played this halfling cleric, whose bedside manner left a lot to be desired.
- Kassendal "Kass" - Ann Smith ran this half-elf magic-user/thief.
- Jenn "Crow" Bar - was played by Ian Cornick. Being a locksmith meant he had inside knowledge on lock-picking.
- "Mad" Max Deepdale - This beanpole thief, played by David Hudson, was an ex-sailor, and liked to think of himself as a Sinbad-type character - shame he was such a weakling.
- "Crazy" Pavin - Geoff Lambourne played this rural thief.
