- Off field landing sites.
- Frequency of airfields.
- Up to 32000 waypoints.

- Add comments to a flight plan.
- Search for and retrieve a flight plan using the start point, distance or
keywords in the comment.
Table of contents
- CAL allows intuitive planning of flights with just a mouse.
- All FAI recognized distance flight declarations are possible.
- Handles a remote departure point and the closed flight path rule.
- All airfields and optional waypoints, thermals and off field landing sites
are displayed on the map.
- The airspace structure of Austria, Germany and Switzerland is
displayed on the map, if it is of relevance for soaring.
- Rivers, highways and rail roads are displayed optionally.
- Distance and track is computed for every leg.
- Track and sectors are displayed on the map. Airspace problems and
areas of poor flying conditions are easily detectable.
- Additional optimization is possible with a map of known good thermals, that
may be created form flight logs.
- User selected display of waypoint names on the map.
Table of Contents
- The selection of waypoints is done on the map with the mouse.
- The problem of a waypoint name being too long for some GPS receivers is addressed.
CAL accepts only a unique name and allows it to be only as long as the selected GPS
permits.
- Waypoint and task data can be transferred to all of these different
navigation devices .
Table of contents
- CAL can download waypoints and tasks to the following navigation
devices directly via the serial communication port.
