Visit my MIR SSTV Picture Gallery, with pictures from different sources. I would like to show in this Gallery page SSTV pictures from MIR.
If you are able to receive a good picture, please send it to me and I will place it here. Mail to: 100116.2632@compuserve.com
At the present time, MIR is expected to share its 145.985 MHz FM downlink with both the SSTV experiment as well as the MIR packet radio BBS.
The BBS is expected to run on weekdays, while SSTV runs on weekends and holidays.
- The MIR MAREX SSTV system is still in a testing phase. The primary operating Mode is Robot 36. It is planned that each picture transmitted from MIR will have a ROMIR ID imbedded in the picture.
A CW ID with the call ROMIR will be sent between the pictures.
The frequency in use is 437.975 FM Simplex (5 watts).
At 12 Dec 98 there was a first SSTV (test?) Transmission on 145.985 see also a Picture received today 13 Dec. 98 on 145.985
So monitor from now both frequencies for SSTV transmissions from the MIR. To decode you need SSTV software with the Robot 36 mode, such as Pasakon or WinPixPro from Silicon Pixels (see software section).
