• Darke County, Ohio Photographs    UNDER CONSTRUCTION -- I was fortunate to receive a well cared for set of pictures which was collected by the late Bernice (Bonham) Koonce.  They have been passed on to me, and I will post them here so they can be shared by other "cousins" who are interested in seeing some of their Darke County ancestors.  I feel quite lucky that over the years, several people who were interested in preserving this history made the effort to care for, and find "homes" for these pictures.  Among those people who took care of the pictures are the relatives of Bernice Koonce (many of them in Alabama), Kathleen Strock and her husband, Richard, and Jeannine Keenum who provided the link that finally put the pictures in my hands.  These pictures deal primarily with Darke County, Ohio residents and others who I believe are from the area of Dunkirk, Indiana in Jay County.
• Elizabeth (ELLER) ULLERY, born in 1817 in Ohio. She was the wife of Henry G. ULLERY.
  They were my 3-g grandparents.
• Ann Maria Sendall (ESSAM) FOX, born in 1831 near Spalding in Lincolnshire, England.
  She's my 3-g grandmother.
• Susan (ESSAM) LANGLEY, born in 1851 in Thorpe Malsor, Nothamptonshire, England.
  I don't know yet whether "my" Ann Maria ESSAM is related to this Susan ESSAM.
• Miami County/Valley Residents (Updated August 5, 2000) -- This is a collection of photographs (unfortunately unidentified for the most part) which was in the possession of my gg-grandmother, Susannah (Murray) Ullery when she died in Covington, Ohio in 1924.
• St. Joseph, Missouri ??? School Photos - ca. 1938.  -- Two class school photos which include my mother, Sue (Ullery) Gallagher.
  
• Florence James & Sarah (Cain)Gallagher
  This is their wedding picture taken in 1886. They're my great-great grandparents
  Their parents were Irish immigrants to the U.S.

• The Anton Heilers, Jr. Family, ca. 1890.  DuBois Co., Indinana
• Finley Thompson & Nancy (Wilson) Thompson of Wayne County, WV.They're my 3g-grandparents.
• Laban Thompson Family - Photo includes my gg-grandparents, and my great-grandfather Thompson.
• Wilburn Thompson Family - includes my grandmother, Florence (Thompson) Ullery
• Frances (Fox)Ullery, born July 17, 1872 in Muncie, Indiana
  She's my great-grandmother. She's the daughter of Malinda (Justice) Fox
  
• Susannah (Murray)Ullery, born November 18, 1844
  She's my great-great grandmother, wife of DeWitt Clinton Ullery.
  I've added a new picture of her probably taken between 1865 and 1895.
  The picture actually had Susannah's maiden name, Murray, written on the back. This might imply that the picture was taken before she was married in 1866.
  The studio which took the picture, Townsend of Covington, Ohio was only in business between 1885 and 1897. That kind of confuses the dating the picture.
• The David H. Ullery Family
  This is the family of my great-grandfather, David H. Ullery
  It includes my grandfather, Murray Ullery, along with my
  gg-grandmother, Malinda (Justice) Fox

  He's my great-great grandfather, a Union Civil War veteran
