Cairo Jim's Gallery of Ancient Book Covers...
Hello, archaeology aficionados! This is
Cairo Jim writing to you (having been asked to do so by my
enthusiastic biographer, Mr Geoffrey McSkidding). It seems that the
books he's been writing about my exploits -- and the exploits of
Doris, Brenda and many of my friends -- have become so popular, in
many different countries, that the good folk who publish them keep
putting new covers on them every now and then. We thought it'd be a
shame to discard the old covers into the dustbin of History (like so
many other wonderful things have been discarded), so we thought we'd
keep them here in cyberspace, just for you to look at occasionally
and to become wistful if that sort of feeling takes your fancy.
So here you are: some of the more recent --
soon to become ancient -- covers from the Australian editions of the
Cairo Jim (that's me!) chronicles, written by that ever-popular
scribe, Mr Geoffrey McSlipping. Maybe some of you own these editions
in your personal library ... if so, hang onto them, for they are fast
becoming collectors' items! Enjoy!
