v1
Jesus lived in highest heaven yet
he stooped to visit us Swapped
his glory for our squalor hoping
we'd receive his love. Longing
that we’d share with others the
good news of Jesus' care, in
this way, that light and hope would conquer
darkness everywhere. Chorus
Jesus loves me; he is for me, when
I ask, his wisdom's mine His
presence cheers me in all trials; he
is with me for all time I'm
released from guilt and shame; I've
got hope in Jesus' name. These
are riches made for sharing, free for all, help
me share them with my neighbours, where
you call. v2
Look he said, the harvest is white, on
the tree, the fruit is ripe Could
I say I follow him and call
him Lord, yet hoard his light? This
shall be my purpose now, to
reach the world, and seek the lost Counting
them better than myself, no
matter what the cost. Chorus |
