This is where it all started for me........... The Jimmy Blair school of Music.

This page will only really be of interest to past pupils/parents of the Jimmy Blair Accordion School . But feel free to browse

I believe this to be a photo of the Scotia Accordion Club which my father started in around 1946/7. In this photo are my Father , Mother, Two Aunts , Two Uncles and my Cousin Iain.

This is my Dad's first Accordion Orchestra. The Scotia Accordion Orchestra .

The Jimmy Blair Advanced Accordion Orchestra. I think this was taken at the British Accordion Championships at Brighton , England. I am 2nd top left

Check out the concentration! A close up of the Orchestra in action. Believe it or not, I am on the left . Also in the photo is Linda Macdonald, Laurence Monaghan and in the back row, Stuart Duff

The Orchestra's trip to Ontario , Canada. I am looking slightly bemused ( maybe its the moustache) . My uncle Archie Duncan is far left. He repairs Accordions for a living along side his excellent Accordion playing. Also in the picture My Dad, Carole Moore, Brenda McKessock, Linda Moore, Thelma Dickson, Fiona Carmichael, Fiona Campbell, Richard Ross and Michael Garvin.

The Jimmy Blair Intermediate Orchestra at Brighton

The Jimmy Blair combined Orchestras showing off their silverware

To all past pupils I wish to say thanks for some great times both in the UK and abroad. Some of the best years of my life were spent travelling to competitions , concerts etc. One big happy family. Please send in your photos for inclusion on this site.
