DIRECTORY OF RELATED LINKS

There are a lot of good astronomy sites on the web.  Here are some of the ones I most frequently visit.  If you find new ones, please send me an e-mail.  Also, let me know of any broken links.  I have also included one of my own sites, of a slightly different realm.

American Association of Variable Star Observers
Thousands of Variable Star Charts and tutorials on how to conduct variable star observations.  Provides an easy means for you to add your data for future generations.  Great way for amateurs to be involved in astronomy research!

The Belmont Society Beginners Site
One of the best websites to show what sky objects really look like in the telescope.  Covers basically everything--planets, deep sky objects, double stars.

Association of Lunar & Planetary Observers
One of the best sites featuring all the planets, the sun, moon, meteors, etc.  I personally recommend the Solar Section as it pertains to the sun.

Astronomy Magazine
This site has good general information and links to telescope manufacturers.  Also, an excellent discussion forum!

Heavens Above Web Site
Excellent site on satellites.  Pick the closest city or town near you (or enter your coordinates) and then see when the International Space Station or some other satellite will pass overhead.  Great way to get your kids involved!

SpaceWeather . Com
Excellent page on the sun and how it influences our weather.  Good site for auroras as well.  Lots of good links too.

In-Constant Moon
Great website on the moon.  Gives a day-by-day look at the moon with details of what is visible tonight.  A must see!

Sky and Telescope Magazine Site
Another good astronomy site.  Has tons of links on every topic imaginable.  Also allows you to print out star charts!

Sky Maps.Com
An excellent site that allows you to print out star charts.  Also provides information on some of the best objects to view with the naked eye, binoculars, and a telescope during the month.

Ed Blankenship's Christian Web Site
As we see the stars, we can't help but wonder about a creator.  They seem so wonderful to be there just by chance.  While astronomy is not mentioned in this site, it tells of my spiritual journey, which helps me make sense of the universe.
