26th Feb 2000: The outside seams have now been rubbed down and glass-tape and epoxy applied.

20th Feb 2000: The hull has now been inverted. The seams have been tack-glued and are ready for sanding down in preparation for the glass-fibre tape and epoxy,

 

 

Time to mix that epoxy

 

12th Feb 2000: At the end of the first week, the six basic hull parts are wired together and the bulkheads temporarily in place. Ready to start gluing.

7th Feb 2000: This leaning photo, was the only way to get the whole box into the shot. Here it is, in my garage ready for unpacking.

It's all there, hull, spars, sails, glue and fittings. Oh, and very comprehensive instructions!

 

 

Just add water

 

6th Feb 2000: We drove to Cardigan in Wales to collect the Storm Petrel kit from the Swallow Boatyard. It's supplied in a wooden box 6 metres in length. The box is fitted and strapped down the boat trailer for transportation.
