(Hitchin) Scouts and GuidesAlthough we had tried Jamboree on the Internet three times, 1999 was our first experience of TDON, which is of course an all-Guide/Girl Scout activity. We just used a single PC in a private home, and three of our Brownies joined Brown Owl in chatting to friends from abroad. Well, actually one Scout and a Scouter got in on the act too, because it was their house, but you have seen our approach to joint activities. We spoke to Guides and Girl Scouts in Canada, the USA, Holland, the UK and many other countries, and have exchanged badges (patches) with a number of them subsequently.
TDON goes on for the whole Thinking Day weekend. If you would like to join us next year, Troop 2589's page is the best starting point. It's a wonderful way of experiencing being part of an international movement.
Our Brownies have put up a greetings page for Thinking Day.
