(Hitchin) Scouts' and Guides' virtual camp fire
Camp fire's burning, camp fire's burning Draw nearer, draw nearer In the gloaming, in the gloaming Come sing and be merry |
A traditional opener, sung to a tune widely known as London's Burning, which refers to the Great Fire of 1666, of course. It's usually sung as a round in four (or two) parts; one group sings the first line and then, as they start on line two, the next group begins on line one, and so on. You can hear the parts in Paul's arrangement.
