
Two views from the Hohen Wand to the Schneeberg in the background
History: Between 1573 and 1588 Charles de I'Ecluse
climbed five times to the peak of the Schneeberg. In 1897 opend the
mountainrailway line with 9,5 km distance and 1.217m difference in altitude.
From the south-west you start in the Höllental nearby the Weichtalhaus in 563m,
climb through the gorge called Weichtalklamm until you reach the Kienthaler
Hütte in 1.380m then you take the way No. 01 to the peak called Klosterwappen. In
10 minutes you will reach the Fischer Hütte. Downhill you will be able to
bypassing the gorge on the F. Mayr Weg.
From the north-east you start nearby Losenheim 871m and reach in 1,5 hours the
Sparbacherhütte 1.248m. Then you take the Fadensteig (I-) which is a stony and
steep path until the edge of the Fadenwaende 1.736m - from this point plain way
will bring you to the Fischerhütte 2.049m. Downhill you will be able to take
the Wurzengraben.
