/ VBA) of Gay & Lesbian Professionals, founded in the San Fernando Valley in
1979, is a Mutual Benefit Non-Profit Organization, and is a strong voice in the lesbian
and gay community in Southern California. Our organization exists to:
- Promote business networking among our members and with our community
at large. Our network allows us to share information, ideas, business contacts, goods and
services, and thus strengthen and expand our businesses and careers.
- Expand the horizons of our members by inviting interesting dinner
speakers and disseminating information and education on the pertinent issues affecting our
lives.
- BALA/VBA also provides a collegiate atmosphere for its members and
guests
Our membership consists of a wide variety of individuals,
professionals, and business owners: men and women, young and ..er.. mature! We have among
our ranks accountants, auto mechanics, shop owners, bankers, real estate professionals,
attorneys, doctors, and many more too numerous to mention.
BALA/VBA is part of a larger collection of Gay &
