My name is Charles Barrett, and I live in Granada Hills, California, with my partner
Randy, our cat, and our two dogs.
I'm a Computer Consultant; my graphic-artist mother made the
cartoon above, which I use as an informal logo when I'm in a whimsical mood (it doesn't
look anything like I do in real life!
I attended Prep school at The Thacher School
(C. de P. 1981), and received my degree in Engineering and Applied Science from Caltech in 1985. After ten years working as an engineer
in the aerospace industry, I went into business for myself as an Independant Computer
Consultant.
For more than a fifteen years I've been involved with The Business Alliance of Los Angeles (founded in 1979 as the
Valley Business Alliance), a non-profit organization in the San Fernando Valley, north of
Los Angeles.
