The BBC is the host broadcaster for LIVE 8 London with coverage across BBC ONE, TWO and THREE, with radio broadcasts on Radio's 1 and 2, the BBC World Service and across the BBC's regional stations.

Commercial Radio will also be broadcasting live from backstage at Hyde Park and The Museum of Art in Philadelphia, with reporters at every live 8 gig across the world, to an estimated audience of over 28million listeners across 200+ stations.

US

ABC will present a 2 hour highlight special on July 2nd at 8pm eastern / 7pm central.

VH1, MTV and MTVu will carry 8 hours live from Noon to 8pm eastern, 11am to 7pm central, 10am to 6pm mountain and 9am to 5pm pacific.

XM will broadcast each show on a different channel starting at 9am eastern. Here's the list - London (channel 41), Paris (channel 42), Berlin (channel 43),  Rome (channel 44), Philadelphia (channel 45) and Barrie, Canada (channel 46).  The London show will also air on channel 201 and there will be global coverage on channel 200.

CMT and VH1 Classic will air highlights on July 3rd.

"WXRT in Chicago will broadcast Live8 beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. Can't say for sure but from their commercial it sounds like they'll be covering mostly the London show."


Argentina

"MTV Latino will be bradcasting live during the saturday afternoon. The Cure is in the list of Artist who they will broadcast.

MMM (FM104) will air highlights from the shows on July 2nd starting at 11pm.

Fox8 will air the shows live from 9:30pm on July 2nd through 10am on July 3rd. They will also air a highlights show the following week.

The Nine Network will air highlights on July 3rd at 8:30pm.


Austria

ATV+ will be airing the show live from 4 pm for aprox. 11 hours.


Belgium

BETV will have live coverage.


Brazil

"MTV Brazil will broadcast it, starting at 9AM our time if I'm not wrong. They say it will be 10 hours of live broadcast. The ad says the name of the
main bands with mini-clips of each (2 seconds each or less) and Cure is there, with a bit of the footage of the 96 concert (no sound though)."


Canada

The Sound Source Network will will have global coverage, with updates from the Canadian show every half hour, starting at 1pm eastern.

Czech Republic

Czech television CT 2 broadcasts Live 8  between 15:00 - 23:00 CET and 23:25 - 01:00 CET.


Finland

Finnish channel YLE Teema will broadcast 12 hours of Live 8 concerts july 2nd 4pm - july 3rd 4am. Also channel TV2 will be broadcasting bits of the concerts 5pm - 6pm, 6.45pm - 9pm and 10.20pm – 4am.
 

France

M6 will air the London show from 14:50 until 15:50, then air the Versailles show from 17:40 - 19:50 and 20:05 - 20:50. There will also be a Best of Live 8 special starting at 23:25.

"Rai3 is broadcasting the concert switching from the different locations (something from Rome, something from London...something from Berlin...and so on...): obviously they are giving more space to Rome.

Japan

The world TV broadcast of the BBC footage of Live 8 will go out to Japan for the full 10 hours on CS Fuji channel 721, starting at 10pm Japan time, including at least 3 songs from Japan Live 8.

National tv (RTP) will broadcast the show starting at 14:15.


Sweden
