"I am using ToolCraft's Query Wizard (beta) and Brian Staff's Xplore on a browse against SQLAnywhere data. The design of the SetFilter method in the C4 ViewManager class lets the developer and 3rd parties each use filter expressions independent of each other and have those combine to one filter. So, in my case where I am browsing the Business table I use a tab control to select which business type I want to look at and I click the column header for the column to sort on (Xplore). Then I can select a QW query to further subset the browse display. Now I can switch my tab to a different business type and my QW query and the Xplore sort order are still intact.

Bottom line, if you need to give your users a lot of control over the display of data in a browse, these products are a powerful combination. I recommend them. BTW, I'm not associated with either product - just a happy customer." - Jerry Norman 11-Feb-98
