

Colin's career as a Recording Engineer and Music Producer spans twenty years, starting at The Elephant Studio in London England, followed by a move to Canada, taking up as Chief Engineer at Goede Productions in Edmonton Alberta, where he remained for six years until leaving to pursue a successful freelance business.
Colin's album credits include projects with Bill Bourne & Shannon Johnson, Captain Tractor, The Great Western Orchestra, Dale Jacobs, Doug Sahm, Amos Garrett, and Paul Hann.
He is best known for his current work with David Wilkie, and for projects with Bill Bourne & Shannon Johnson (1996 Juno nomination), The Great Western Orchestra (writers of two Randy Travis hits), Mark Korven whose "Ordinary Man" album on Duke Street Records featured Colin as co-producer with John Switzer (Jane Sibbery), and for engineering and mixing Doug Sahm, Amos Garrett and Gene Taylor's "Return of the Formerly Brothers" album which won a 1989 Juno Award. He was also part of the teams formed to make recent live recordings of Procul Harem and Lighthouse performing with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Studios worked in include, Sulan Studios (County Cork, Ireland), Manta (Toronto) and NRG (Hollywood).
He has worked on countless commercial audio productions including radio commercials, filmscore and TV soundtracks, and played a major role in the audio production for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 1983 World University Games. His commercial clients include CBC, CFRN, ITV, NFB, McCrostie Productions and George Blondheim Music. In addition, he has considerable experience in the field of engineering live sound reinforcement and has worked with The Bellamy Brothers, Steve Wariner, Ry Cooder, Buddy Miles, Joni Mitchell, Rikki Lee Jones, and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra to name a few, and has mixed in countless venues, some as far afield as China and Tahiti.
Colin is a member of SOCAN, an instructor in Recording Arts at Grant MacEwan College, and has served as a member of the board of the Alberta Recording Industry Association. He holds BA and MA degrees from the University of Oxford.
