Japan Suit Pattern:
For those who want to use the stitchpatterns from Designs for Interiors for garment knitting there is the Japan Suit, so-called because it mirrors the contemporary Japanese designer look. The pattern includes
- a reversible jacket in co-ordinating pinstripe fabrics in tones from silver grey to black constructed entirely from straight knitted pieces, joined and folded in such a way as to produce a highly original yet very wearable jacket.
- an A-line skirt, vented at the back and knitted in a double jacquard version of one of the pinstripe designs featured in the jacket, but in a darker combination of yarns. Two strands are used throughout, and the different colouring in the skirt is achieved by altering the colour of one of the two different coloured strands in one of the feeders.
- a long tunic and short cropped top knitted in full-needle rib in plain black. They both have a scooped round neck and set-in sleeves.Sizes S M and L (32-46ins chest, 35-48ins hip).
