"Many individual players now have Internet sites dedicated to them - David Beckham, Eric Cantona,
Diego Maradona, Tony Richards. In case you're wondering, Richards was "Walsall's greatest
post-war goalscorer". His website contains a biography and reports from games - well, one game,
actually, Walsall v Sunderland in 1961. There is one other report which reads: "In 1984, in
Majorca (sic), Tony's son played alongside Glenn Hoddle and Graham Rix in an England v Spain match.
The rest of the team consisted of holiday-makers and Spain were represented by the local amateur side".
No doubt the future England coach showed them a thing or two. No? "England lost 4-2," says the
report, "with both English goals scored by an on-loan Spaniard."
