Michel BÉCART

Brevet d'État 2ème degré.
Born July 13, 1946 in Lille in north-east France, Michel began training in Japanese martial arts at the age of 13. He studied Judo Ju Jutsu with Sensei Philippe JULLY. He discovered Aikido when he saw a demonstration given by Mr. DELFORGE and Mr. DUNIERE.
In 1964 he began studying Aikido with Masamichi NORO Sensei at Gare du Nord and later at rue Constance. He was made student-instructor, and then Instructor of the NORO Institute. He joined Nobuyoshi TAMURA Sensei in 1972 in his association, Association Culturelle Francaise d'Aikido (AFCA) and then the Union Nationale d'Aikido (UNA), assuming responsibilities for technical leadership. He continues these responsibilites today for the Federation Français of Aikido and Budo (FFAB) of which TAMURA Sensei is the technical head.
Michel BÉCART received his 6th DAN from TAMURA Sensei in 1987, the second person under TAMURA Sensei's direction to be so recognized in France.
Michel BÉCART has also studied under the direction of other Aikido SHIHAN (experts). Among those, besides NORO Sensei and TAMURA Sensei, who have most influenced his Aikido are: Hiroshi TADA, Katsuaki ASAI, Kazuo CHIBA, Hirozaku KOBAYASHI, Yoshimitsu YAMADA, Michio HIKITSUCHI et ARIKAWA.
Michel is particularly reputed for his teaching of Aiki-Ken and Aiki-jo.
Other martial arts studied by Michel BÉCART are IAIDO and KENJUTSU.
