Prayers

By the sign + of the cross deliver us + from our enemies, you who + are our God.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, + and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary;
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit;
the Holy Catholic Church; the Communion of Saints;
the forgiveness of sins;
the ressurection of the body;
and life everlasting. Amen.

Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary
Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Fatima Prayer (Fatima, Mary, 13.Jul.1917)
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fire of hell,
and lead all little souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Your Mercy. Amen.

"Do not be afraid. I am the peace angel. Pray with me."
And he kneeled, bowed his head down to the earth and said three times (Fatima, spring of 1916):
My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You!
I ask pardon of You for those who not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You!

Canticle of Mary (Magnificat, Luke 1:46-55)
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.

Glory
Glory to God in the highest, and peace to his people on earth.
Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and Father,
we worship you, we give you thanks, we praise you for your glory.
Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father,
Lord God, Lamb of God,
you take away the sin of the world: have mercy on us;
you are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our prayer.
For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are Most High,
Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

The Hail, Holy Queen:
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy!
our life, our sweetness, and our hope!
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve;
to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley, of tears.
Turn, then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us;
and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus;
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

The 3 Prayers
Jesus Christ has recommended to Vassula Rydén that we pray the following prayers daily:

NOVENA OF CONFIDENCE TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

O Lord Jesus Christ, to Your Most Sacred Heart, I confide this intention.
(Here mention your request)
Only look upon me, then do what Your Heart inspires... Let Your Sacred Heart decide...
I count on it... I trust in it... I throw myself on It's Mercy...

Lord Jesus You will not fail me. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I believe in Thy love for me.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom Come.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus I have asked for many favours, but I earnestly implore this one.
Take it, place it in Thy Sacred Heart.
When the Eternal Father sees it covered with Thy Precious Blood,
He will not refuse it. It will be no longer my prayer but Thine.
O Jesus, O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee.
Let me never be confounded. Amen.

PRAYER TO ST MICHAEL

 (Leo XIII)
St Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle,
be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Power of God, cast into Hell, Satan
and all the other evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Mary, Queen of Holy Angels - Pray for us!

THE MEMORARE OF ST BERNARD

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee.
O Virgin of Virgins my Mother!
To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate!
Despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

The Gift of Discernment of Spirits

Jesus:
"You will all keep in your hearts this prayer for consolation and direction.
If you come upon a questionable soul, you will say inwardly the Exorcism,
Saint Michael, and your eyes will be opened to the truth.
Many shall receive the gift of
discernment of spirits.
It is a necessity now in the fight, the battle against the unseen forces of the supernatural.

"Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou,
O prince of the heavenly host, by the divine power of God,
cast into hell satan, and all evil spirits
who wander now throughout the world seekingthe ruin of souls."

To the Holy Spirit
Come, Holy Spirit! Fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your Love!
Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray. O God, who has taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit,
grant that by the gift of the same Spirit we may always truly wise and ever rejoice in his consolation.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

"Hear me and understand well, my son the least, that nothing should frighten or grieve you.
Let not your heart be disturbed. Do not fear that sickness, nor any other sickness or anguish.
Am I not here, who is your Mother? Are you not under my protection? Am I not your health?
Are you not happily within my fold? What else do you wish? Do not grieve nor be disturbed by anything. ...
(...Do not be afflicted by the illness of your uncle, who will not die now of it. Be assured that he is now cured.)"
(Words of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas, to Seer Juan Diego on 12.Dec.1531)

(Mat.6.25-26). Therefore I say to you, be not solicitous for your life, what you shall eat,
nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than the meat: and the body more than the raiment?
Behold the birds of the air, for they neither sow, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns:
and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not you of much more value than they?

O most Holy Trinity, I adore You! My God, my God, I love You in the most Blessed Sacrament!
(Fatima, Mary, 13.Mai.1917)

In the fall of 1916, the peace angel in Fatima held a golden chalice in one hand and a Host above it in the other.
Drops of blood fell from the Host into the chalice.
Leaving both suspended in mid-air he prostrated himself on the ground, saying this prayer:
"Most Holy Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - I adore Thee profoundly.
I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ,
present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages,
sacrileges and indifferences whereby He is offended.
And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners."
After he gave the sacred communion to Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco,
he prostrated himself on the ground and said with the children this prayer three times.

Josue 6:2. And the Lord said to Josue:

Behold I have given into thy hands Jericho,
and the king thereof, and all the valiant men.
6:3. Go round about the city all ye fighting men once a day:
so shallye do for six days.
6:4. And on the seventh day the priests shall take the seven trumpets,
which are used in the jubilee, and shall go before the ark of the covenant:
and you shall go about the city seven times,
and the priests shall sound the trumpets.
6:5. And when the voice of the trumpet shall give a longer and broken tune,
and shall sound in your ears,
all the people shall shout together with a very great shout,
and the walls of the city shall fall to the ground,
and they shall enter in every one at the place against which they shall stand.
Encircle the good with prayer to protect it from evil
(Maria Esperanza, one of her last acts was to visit New York
and prayed as it circled the Mother Cabrini Shrine,
St. Ignatius Loyola Church, and St. Patrick's Cathedral in mid-town Manhattan).

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father,
send now your Spirit over the earth.
Let the Holy Spirit live in the hearts of all nations,
that they may be preserved from degeneration, disasters and war.
May the Lady of All Nations, who once was Mary, be our Advocate. Amen.
(Ida Peerdeman, Feb.11.1951)

Thursday, April 1, 2004:
Jesus Christ said through John Leary: “My people,
I am showing you this printing operation in order to put your reading time in perspective.
You have only a certain amount of time each day
that you set aside to read a newspaper or magazine articles.
I have also asked you especially during Lent to do more spiritual reading.
Try and estimate how much time you spend reading each day,
even if it is just an average.
Then spend half of that time reading the Bible or spiritual books.
Just as you are conscious of your nutrition and exercise time,
so your spiritual life should be nourished and not forgotten.
Again average the amount of time that you spend on your hobbies or TV watching
and you should spend half of that time in daily prayer time.
If you are conscious of how you spend and allot your time each day,
these suggestions could help you to make Me more a part of your life.
Watching TV and secular reading will not help you get to heaven,
but prayer and spiritual reading will support and strengthen your faith on your path to heaven.”

The Memorare has long been attributed to St. Bernard of Clairvaux (1090-1153),
Confessor, Abbot, and Doctor of the Church.
While some of St. Bernard's writings do indeed echo the words of the Memorare,
modern scholarship indicates that he did not in fact compose it.
The piece rather appears to be a 16th century version of a 15th century prayer.
It was Claude Bernard (1588-1641) who first popularized the idea that St. Bernard composed it.
A partial indulgence is granted to the faithful who recite the Memorare.
