Rick has surprising news for Taylor.
Taylor looks out her bedroom window and recalls asking Brooke to be Jack's mother. She then flashes back to the same memories of her life with Ridge that she recalled when she couldn't sleep after giving up Jack. Rick comes up behind her and guesses that she's thinking about Jack. "I miss him," Taylor sighs, not mentioning her thoughts of Ridge. Rick misses the tot, too, but he thinks Jack is better off with Brooke, Ridge and their kids. Taylor concedes that Jack is happy, but that doesn't necessarily make her happy. Rick notes that she feels like the glass is both half full and half empty at the same time and offers to help her fill the empty part. Taylor says that he does that very well and they kiss. While Rick embraces Taylor, he whispers to her that they're getting married next week. Stunned, Taylor asks if he's joking, but Rick tells her that he has everything set up for them to get married in an elegant ceremony at Il Giardino. When Taylor is silent, Rick observes that she doesn't seem pleased, but she thinks about it some more and comes around. Rick tells her that he loves her and they start to make out.

Brooke is concerned when Katie asks to take Jack home tonight.
At the hospital, a concerned Brooke sits on Katie's bed and watches as Katie holds Jack. Katie tells her sister that they're going to release her as soon as Dr. Caspary does a D&C. Brooke suggests that Katie rest for a few days, but Katie thinks she just needs some time with Jack and asks Brooke if Jack can stay with her tonight. Brooke reminds Katie that she's been through a terrible ordeal. Katie realizes that, and that's why she wants to spend time with Jack. Brooke reluctantly agrees, so a delighted Katie tells Jack, "We're gonna go home, just you and me and your daddy."

Ridge praises Brooke for what she did for her sister.
Brooke and Ridge leave the hospital and go home, where Ridge praises Brooke for letting Jack stay with Katie. Brooke confides that she got a strange vibe while Katie held Jack, almost like Katie was clinging to Jack like a lifeline. She thinks the last thing a woman who just miscarried would want is to see someone else's child, yet Katie seemed fixated on Jack. She just hopes she didn't make a mistake letting Katie take Jack home. Ridge asks why she'd think it was a mistake. Brooke explains that Katie locked onto Jack from the minute she brought him into the room, and it was suddenly like the miscarriage had never happened. She admits that she felt like she was placing Katie's newborn baby in her arms when she handed Jack to Katie. Ridge asks Brooke if she's being a bit paranoid and tells her that he's proud of her for generously allowing Katie to take Jack on his first night with Brooke. Brooke thanks him for saying that. Ridge decides to give her something to really thank him for and kisses her. Soon after, they are lying in bed. Brooke confesses that she might be acting a bit paranoid, but she fears Katie might be trying to replace her lost child with Jack on some subconscious level, and she tells Ridge that Katie called Jack "my baby" and "my boy."

Nick watches Katie with Jack.
At the Marone mansion, Nick finds Katie sitting in bed with Jack and asks if she's up for babysitting. Katie tells him she's not babysitting, since she wanted Jack with her tonight and asked Brooke to let him stay over. Nick asks if she's sure after what she's been through tonight. Katie tells him that Jack is their perfect, precious gift and they are just so lucky to have him. Nick sits on the bed next to Katie and Jack and sees a lot of Brooke in Jack, especially around the eyes. Katie however disagrees and tells Nick that Jack is all him, although she sees some of herself from her baby pictures in the tyke. "I just love him so much," she gushes. Nick goes to get Jack his bottle. When he returns, Katie tells him that she couldn't have gotten through this without him and says that she loves him. She then looks at Jack and tells him that she couldn't have gotten through today without him, either. "You're my boy. You're my precious baby," she giggles as a concerned Nick looks on.

Donna tells Marcus how glad she is that she didn't lose him.
After Marcus is bitten by a snake on the Forrester rooftop, Donna rushes him to the hospital, where the doctors rally to stabilize him. Donna asks if she can stay with him, but a nurse tells her that she has to wait outside while the doctors do their work. Soon after, Marcus is awake and in a room. He and Donna meet with one of the doctors, who tells Marcus and Donna that Marcus was very lucky to survive the snake bite. The doctor is sure Marcus will be fine now that he's been given an antidote for the snake venom, but he wants to keep Marcus overnight for observation. The doctor then goes to check on some other patients. Donna tells Marcus how scared she was that she was going to lose him. Marcus asks her to do him a favor and make sure to kill the snake first the next time she orders snakeskin shoes. Donna chuckles that this is no time for jokes. Marcus wonders how a snake got in that crate. Donna admits that she has her suspicions, but she suggests they talk about that after Marcus gets some rest. A nurse comes in to run some tests, so Donna excuses herself and leaves the room.

Marcus assures Steffy he's not going anywhere.
After the nurse finishes, Marcus nods off, so he's asleep when Steffy comes by and cries at the sight of him lying in bed. When Marcus wakes up, Steffy begs him to tell her that he's going to be OK. Marcus kids that he didn't tell her about his talent as a snake charmer, which makes Steffy laugh. Marcus then explains that he's going to be fine thanks to the anti-venom that the doctors gave him. Steffy climbs in bed with Marcus and sobs that just the thought of losing him hit her hard, because she doesn't know what she would do without him in her life. Marcus assures her that he's not going anywhere, since he has big plans that involve them both. "This is nothing. It's just a speed bump," he assures. Steffy tells him that she she loves him so much and kisses him.

Stephanie denies Donna's accusations.
Stephanie spots Donna in the hospital hallway and asks how Marcus is. Donna doesn't think Stephanie even cares, but Stephanie says that she feels horrible about what happened, especially since Marcus's accident occurred at Stephanie's family's business. Donna tells Stephanie to leave, since she doesn't want Stephanie or her sister anywhere near Marcus after what they tried to do with the snake. Stephanie doesn't know what Donna is talking about, so Donna accuses La Forrester and her crazy sister of putting that snake in the crate so it would attack -- except Donna thinks that she, and not Marcus, was the intended victim! Stephanie insists that what happened was an accident, but Donna speculates that Stephanie and Pam cooked up the plan with the snake since they couldn't stand the fact that Eric might forgive Donna. Donna tells Stephanie to just accept that Eric still loves her [Donna]. Stephanie says that she'll never accept that and denies Donna's charge; she states that she isn't responsible, and she doesn't think Pam is either. Donna believes that Stephanie might not have done it, but she is certain Pam did after being left by Pam to be eaten by the bear. She asks Stephanie if she's heard from Pam. Stephanie says that she hasn't and suggests that Pam is in hiding, insisting that her sister is not a psychotic killer. Donna insists that Pam would do anything to keep her and Eric apart and begs Stephanie to help her find Pam before Pam comes after her again.
