I am neither a Pat Robinson nor a Jerry Falwell fan. I don't believe God came to anyone, told them to become Republicans, and spread that enlightened Gospel message to us!!!
God is neither "Democrat" nor "Republican", HE has a different agenda, not governed by our Congress, lead by Presidents - or politically oriented preachers.
My view of the separation of Church & state is that it is desirable, in order to protect and isolate the Church Leadership from Government's brand of power games & ethics. Church Leadership has to live up to it's ideals, pursue it's highest principles - be focused on it's intended message..."Gimme that Old Time (Republican) Religion"?;
